APACHE COUNTY
CLERK OF THE COURT
The Clerk of the Superior Court keeps court records and collects all fees, fines, bonds, and restitutions. The Office of the Clerk is the first stop to initiate any superior court action regarding child support, civil (passport, marriage license, protection order, divorce/dissolution, legal records), criminal (appeals), probate (guardianship and conservatorship), mental health, tax, or domestic relations matters (conciliation and mediation, paternity/maternity). The superior court also oversees juvenile court filings including adoption, dependency, severance, and delinquency actions.
NAVAJO COUNTY
The Clerk of the Court is the official record keeper and fiduciary agent for the Superior Court. The Clerk of the Court responsibilities are:
- To provide public access to the records of the Superior Court in Navajo County.
- To attend each Superior Court proceeding to record the actions of the court and prepare minute entries for distribution to appropriate parties.
- To receive filings for initiating Superior Court actions in civil, criminal, mental health, probate, family court matters, juvenile matters which include delinquency, dependency, adoption and severance cases and limited jurisdiction court appeals.
- To ensure accurate and safe handling of court-ordered fees, fines and victim restitution including disbursement of these funds.
- To provide various family support services to the public.
- To receive, distribute and preserve office court documents.
- To store and safeguard exhibits and evidence for all court cases.
- To issue and record marriage licenses
- To process applications for private process servers, bail bondsmen and passports.
- To compile and maintain statistics of cases and other business of the court.
- To act as Jury Commissioner, qualifying, maintaining and providing jurors for court trails.
COCONINO COUNTY
The Clerk of the Superior Court's Office, which was established by the Arizona Constitution as one of several elected offices with specific and special duties, serves as the official record keeper and financial officer for the Superior Court. The functions of the Clerk of the Court are far-reaching, satisfying more than 500 state statutes and court rules. Among the roles that the Clerk of the Superior Court's Office was created to perform are:
- Provide the public, court, media, and the legal community access to all records of the Superior Court in Coconino County
- Attend each Superior Court session to record the actions of the court
- Be the first stop in initiating a Superior Court action in civil, criminal, juvenile, probate, adoption, or domestic relations matters
- Collect and disburse court-ordered fees, fines, and victim restitution in an expedient manner
- Receive, distribute, and preserve official court documents
- Store exhibits for all court cases
- Issue and record marriage licenses
- Process all records in juvenile dependency, delinquency, severance, and adoption cases
- Process passport applications
- Act as Jury Commissioner to establish a pool of jurors for trial in Superior Court and Justice Court cases, and for grand jury for the Superior Court and State Court

The Superior Court of Arizona in Maricopa County is the 4th largest trial court in the country. The court has jurisdiction over all felony cases committed in Maricopa County.
The Criminal Department is the largest department within the court. The department works in collaboration with other criminal justice agencies to efficiently resolve cases in a just manner, respecting the rights of defendants, victims, and the community.
In February of 2012, the Criminal Department began operations in the South Court Tower, a 700,000 square foot facility designed with access to justice in mind. The South Court Tower facilitates the effective and efficient flow of felony criminal cases.

YUMA COUNTY
The Clerk of the Superior Court is the Official Record-Keeper and Financial Officer for the Superior Court.
- The Clerk's office is the first stop in initiating all Superior Court action in Adoptions, Civil, Criminal, Domestic Relations, Mental Health, Probate, and Tax matters.
- The Clerk must manage all types of records such as Legal Documents, Financial Ledgers, Statistical Reports, Evidence, and must keep a register of each legal document filed.

GRAHAM COUNTY
The Clerk of the Superior Court’s office is located on the main floor of the Graham County Courthouse. The Clerk functions under the direction of the Presiding Judge, Michael D. Peterson.
Responsibilities
The office has a variety of duties that range from issuing jury summons to marriage licenses. In general, the Clerk’s office is the record keeper for the court and assists the public’s access to the Superior Court judicial system.
Court of Record
The Superior Court is a court of record. Therefore, all documents that are filed in the court are docketed so that records can be tracked. Some of the files are confidential but the majority are public records.
